Prof. Andreas Obermair was born and raised in Austria and completed Vienna Medical School in Austria in 1990.
He commenced his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Vienna, Austria in 1994.
He moved to Australia in 2000 and successfully completed the gynaecological oncology training in 2002.
He was granted Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2002, and is now a full Professor of Gynaecological Cancer at the University Queensland.
Prof. Obermair operates his private practice as a Gynaecological Oncologist
from his consulting suite at Greenslopes Private Hospital and he also visits the Sunshine Coast.
Prof. Obermair is the Director of Research Gynaecological Oncology and a part-time Staff Specialist Gynaecological Oncologist at the Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland.
Dr. Andreas Obermair holds an appointment as a Professor at the University of Queensland, Medical School.
Prof. Obermair will see patients with
Suspicious pelvic masses,
Suspected or proven cancer of the ovaries, uterus, cervix, vulva and vagina,
A hereditary increased risk of developing gynaecological cancer.
Prof. Obermair specialises in the laparoscopic treatment of gynaecological cancer.
