The Battle is back

Preparations have begun for The Battle 2018 Friday 16 March - a beach volleyball competition raising funds for the women diagnosed with gynaecological cancers.  More research is needed to establish what the best treatments are, how we can prevent this deadly disease and ultimately, to find a cure.

My team Way ObermairHead has played each year since its inception and you can track our fundraising efforts for this year on our team page.

Anyone can join the Battle, regardless of beach volleyball skill level. Players of all ages, including families and kids, are welcome! For those that may not want to play volleyball on the night you can still come along and cheer on the teams. There is dinner and drinks available to purchase and a fantastic social atmosphere.

Join me in registering a team, friendly 'battles' on the sand and help support gynaecological cancer research.

To register, and possibly go up against my team on the sand, get your team of 5-8 players together, head over to The Battle website and click “Register” or "Donate".

All funds raised go directly to Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation research programs.

I sincerely thank you for your support,

Prof. Andreas Obermair
